SCHOOLOGY has announced a $32 million Series D round led by JMI Equity. Existing investors including FirstMark Capital, Intel Capital and Great Road Holdings also participated. The New-York-based company plans to use the new funding to expand distribution and bolster the cloud system that underpins its software. Schoology makes a platform for teachers to share their materials and assignments with students and each other. Founded in 2009, the company boasts 12 million users in 130 countries and total funding of $57 million, according to a press release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
