MIDDLE SCHOOL SUPPORT: City Year, a nonprofit offering programs to support students at low-performing K-12 schools in 26 cities nationwide, received a three-year $2.5 million grant from the New York Life Foundation. With the funding, City Year will expand its afterschool program to up to 24 additional New York middle schools in the next three years, impacting an estimated 150,000 students.
