Celebrate Black History Month with These Edtech Tools

Feb 14, 2015

FROM HISTORY TO LITERATURE: New York college professor Irving Weathersby Jr. stopped by Edutopia this week to help teachers show students how to embrace diversity through tech. His collection of six edtech tools includes More Than a Mapp, a free app that allows users to discover and document points in African American history. If you’re looking for Black History resources that are more Common Core-aligned in nature, CCEdtech recommends checking out the federal government’s comprehensive resource site called African American History Month and recent IK12-graduate, Readworks, which has lessons built around primary sources.
