BLOC: $6 million to San Francisco, CA-based Bloc in a Series A round led by Shasta Ventures. The startup has now raised $8.5 million. Founded in 2012, Bloc offers an online bootcamp that trains students in software development and design. Full courses, which can be completed at different paces, range from $4000 to $5000. The funding will help the company grow its job preparation and placement programs for graduates, according to the press release.
