Estonian Language Learning Company Lingvist Raises Funding

LINGVIST: 1 Million Euros ($1.4M) to Estonian language learning startu, Lingvist, as reported by EDUKWEST Europe. The funding came from SmartCap (the investment arm of the Estonian Development Fund), Nordic VC Inventure, and angels. Lingvist, which was started in 2013, has developed adaptive algorithms to help people learn any language in 200 hours. It is currently in private beta. Founder Mait Muntel holds a PhD in physics and worked at CERN, the Swiss research center. More from TechCrunch, too.
