ACHIEVEMENT STANDARDS NETWORK: Acquired by Waterloo, Ontario-based Desire2Learn for an undisclosed sum. The Achievement Standards Network (ASN) is a project of JES & Co., a non-profit that has received support from the likes of Gates Foundation and the National Science Foundation, among others. ASN is a free public service that maps learning content and activities to over 1,300 education standards. This is Desire2Learn's fourth acquisition since its $80 million bonanza funding round in 2012.
