Local Lessons Marketplace, Skillshare, Raises $6.1M

SKILLSHARE: $6.1 million to NYC-based Skillshare, according to a SEC filing. TechCrunch reports that Union Square Ventures and Spark Capital co-led the round for the startup, which has now raised $10 million. Founded in November 2010, Skillshare offers a directory where users can take and offer online classes for practically any skill or hobby. Another startup doing something similar also recently raised $3 million.
