It's Alive! The Edtech Jobs Board from EdSurge and HireEDU

Avid readers of our weekly newsletters know that we devote a section to jobs. Now, visitors to our site may have noticed a new addition to the top navigation bar: Jobs!

Yes, we launched a jobs board, in partnership with industry talent vets HireEducation, an incredible resource for talent for Education and Education Technology organizations. You can can currently find the latest openings from San Francisco to India. (Want to work from the comforts of home and your pajamas? We've got that too!) Our goal is to provide a central and valuable service for edtech companies and job seekers.

This jobs board is ultimately a reflection of our growing industry and the companies and talented individuals that abound. As we have been cataloging edtech products in our Index (700 and counting) and tracking related events around the country, we started an experiment with job postings.

We started small--just 35 job postings from an amazing set of edtech companies like Clever, Teaching Channel, UClass and more.

A few related fun facts about our reach in the industry:

  • Have you heard of NYC's iZone initiative? Bet you didn't know that Steven Hodas, the Executive Director got his job through our job listings!
  • A testimonial from another well-known edtech organization: "We only listed the role on the EdSurge Jobs Board, and from the ten candidates we received, we filled our community manager role. We will definitely use EdSurge again to fill future jobs, and we recommend that other companies do the same."
  • Finally, we talked to the first set of companies that posted jobs and over 90% said they would post another job with EdSurge. That converts to a pretty good Net Promoter Score, eh?

But wait, there's more. HireEducation, the leading resource for talent searches in the education industry and our partner for the past two years, is launching a new hourly-based recruiting service when the job board isn't enough and full-service recruitment is too much. Please contact mark@hireedu.com to learn more about the new offerings.
