And the main culprits are the Common Core standards and assessments, which he says are "the best (and most recent) gift to the hardware and software industry." He warns that the Los Angeles Unified's $50 million contract with Apple for iPads is just the beginning. Cuban insinuates that in order to justify mass technology purchases, we no longer need evidence of technology's impact on teaching and learning. All we need is the Common Core.
