Carnival Kickstarter Adds an 'A' to STEM Education

May 13, 2013

STEAMED GOODS: This isn't your typical county fair with ferris wheels and ponies. No, this one's got lasers, dueling robots, and fire. VentureBeat alerts us to this jamboree of a Kickstarter campaign for the STEAM Carnival, dedicated to get kids stoked about not just STEM subjects, but the arts as well. "...Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math aren't complete without Art," reads the page. Here's how you know it's serious: the team behind the project, Two Bit Circus, helped to build this ridonkulous Rube Goldberg for a viral music video from pop band, OK Go. With just over two weeks to go, the campaign has raised over half of its $100K goal. If it hits the mark, the STEAM Carnival will be making its way to Los Angeles and San Francisco in Spring 2014. Sure sounds like a golden ticket!
