Chegg Partners With Coursera

May 8, 2013

EBOOKS MEET MOOCS: Veteran digital textbook distributor Chegg announced today that it will be partnering with Cousera to distribute class materials for the MOOC. The partnership will give Coursera access to material from publishers like Cengage Learning, Macmillan Higher Education, and SAGE. Students will be able to read the textbooks through Chegg's eReader for the duration of the course, after which they can purchase it.

When CNN asked Chegg CEO, Dan Rosenweig, if the company has its eye on other MOOC providers, he remarked, "Our vision is to become the leading connected learning platform...We're not going to limit ourselves to anything." Chegg textbooks are currently being used for only two Coursera courses with plans to expand offerings in the future.
