THE PROPHET SPEAKS: The "Lord and God of the Algorithm," Nate Silver, participated in a Reddit AMA last week. Interestingly enough, the top-rated comment pertained to his thoughts on data-driven metrics for teacher evaluation, to which he replied: "There are certainly cases where applying objective measures badly is worse than not applying them at all, and education may well be one of those."
