University of Mass. Scores $6.2M Grant for CompSci Programs

CAITE: The University of Massachusetts at Amherst announced that its Commonwealth Alliance for Technology Education (CAITE) has received a $6.24 million grant from the National Science Foundation. The group will work with Georgia Tech to create a "national resource for other states that want to learn how to successfully broaden participation in computer science education." CAITE has a pretty strong track record, having hosted a variety of hands-on and PD workshops for students and teachers and working with community colleges improve enrollment in IT courses.
