Higher-Ed Digital Learning Consortium Acquires Courseload

Aug 3, 2015

COURSELOAD, a platform that distributes digital textbooks and course materials, has been acquired by Unizin, an Austin, TX-based nonprofit consortium of 22 higher-ed institutions that share a common set of digital learning services (including Instructure's Canvas learning management system). "The inclusion of Courseload data will increase analytics capabilities and facilitate opportunities for faculty collaboration and content sharing across Unizin institutions," said Anastasia Morrone, Associate Vice President of Learning Technologies at Indiana University (an Unizin member) in a prepared statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Courseload was founded in 2009 and had raised around $8 million.
