Code.org Teams up with the College Board on Teaching Students to Code

May 19, 2015

WITH OUR POWERS COMBINED: Seattle-based Code.org and the New York-based College Board, which is responsible for administering the SAT and Advanced Placement tests, recently announced a partnership to help U.S.’s largest school districts adopt new computer science classes. While the two organizations will jointly approach large urban school districts to ask them to adopt Code.org's computer science curriculum, they'll incorporate student scores from the PSAT (as well as the new PSAT8/9 exam, if schools choose to use it) to help educators identify students with aptitude for computer science. The College Board and Code.org will also jointly fund teacher training to establish computer science in these schools. More here.
