​LocoMotive Labs Raises $4M to Expand Into Asia

LOCOMOTIVE LABS: $4 million to Berkeley, CA-based LocoMotive Labs in a Series A round led by Softbank Ventures Korea and TAL Education Group. Existing investors K9 Ventures, Kapor Capital, NewSchools Venture Fund, Joe Gleberman, D3Jubilee and Jerry Colonna also participated.

Since 2012, LocoMotive Labs has developed assistive and play-based educational apps for students with special needs. Its most popular app, Todo Math, has been used by over 25,000 PreK to 2nd grade students in 1,000 classrooms around the world. The company has raised $5.15 million to date and will use the funds to expand further into Asia. More details in the release.
