​Chalk Raises $500K for ‘Microsoft Office for Teachers’

CHALK: Kitchener, Ontario-based Chalk.com raised $500,000 in a round led by MaRS Investment Acceleration Fund. BDC Capital, Ryan Holmes (CEO of Hootsuite) and John Baker (CEO of Desire2Learn) also participated. Since 2012, Chalk.com has automated paperwork for schools and and provided lesson planning and collaboration tools for teachers. Chalk.com’s founder and CEO, William Zhou, was selected as one of Forbes’ 2015 30 Under 30.
