Rosetta Stone Buys Brain Trainer

Dec 28, 2013

VIVITY LABS: Acquired by Rosetta Stone for $12 million in cash. Founded in 2007, Vancouver-based Vivity Labs is the developer of Fit Brains Trainer, a suite of "Brain Games" designed to strengthen cognitive skills and which generated close to five million downloads this year. This is Rosetta Stone's fourth acquisition this year, after Livemocha, Lexia and Tell Me More. The press release states "the close connection between language learning and brain training makes Vivity Labs a natural strategic fit for Rosetta Stone."
