OPPORTUNITY

Design Tech seeks an experienced and innovative associate director with exemplary academic and professional experience. The ideal candidate is a visionary who is eager to put their expertise, knowledge, and drive into action, laying the groundwork for students’ lives after high school.

This position will require establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with parents, community members, teachers, and students.

This is a full-time, 12 month leadership position that includes occasional evening and weekend responsibilities in support of student activities, school events, and community engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate Director plays a key leadership role in developing programs, systems, and structures that ensure the school operates effectively in pursuit of its mission. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Connecting students to opportunities outside of the school.

Developing and implementing systems that connect students to opportunities outside of school to help them do meaningful work, contribute to the common good, and find their creative purpose. This includes supporting student clubs/athletics, managing the intersession program, organizing community-building trips, and supporting all school activities.

Supporting Students

Developing and implementing systems that support the students in contributing to the common good and developing their creative purpose. This includes supporting students' attendance, meeting behavioral expectations, and putting the school's values into practice.

Supporting Staff

Serving as the lead for multiple departments on campus, which includes implementing an evaluation/performance appraisal process. Developing and leading professional development sessions as needed.

Connecting with Parents

Design Tech parents are essential community members, and the associate director is responsible for engaging the parent community appropriately in supporting the school.

Managing the Operation of the School

The Associate Director position is responsible for implementing and refining standard operating procedures for relevant processes and collaborating with school personnel to manage essential school events/programs.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To fulfill these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will be:

  • A strong personal commitment to ongoing learning and growth.
  • Teaching Credential, Administrative Credential preferred, and relevant experience with demonstrated student results.
  • A sophisticated understanding of instructional practice, culture building, and equity work.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position offers:

Competitive salary range of $117,400-$153,875
