Dr. Robert Dillon serves the students and community of the Affton School District as Director of Technology and Innovation. Prior to this position, he served as a teacher and administrator in public schools throughout the Saint Louis area. Dr. Dillon has a passion to change the educational landscape by building excellent engaging schools for all students. He looks for ways to ignite positive risk taking in teachers and students and release trapped wisdom into the system by growing networks of inspired educators. Dr. Dillon serves on the Leadership Team for Connected Learning, a Saint Louis based organization designed to reshape professional development to meet today's needs. Dr. Dillon has had the opportunity to speak throughout the country at local, state, and national conferences as well as share his thoughts and ideas in a variety of publications. He is the author of two books on best practices in learning, Leading Connected Classrooms and Engage, Empower, Energize: Leading Tomorrow's Schools Today. He is supported by his wife and two daughters, and spends the remainder of his time running and cycling.
After spending the better part of a decade in a Middle School Science classroom, Brian now works to improve teaching and instruction through the use of Ed Tech at MICDS as their Coordinator of Instructional Technology for the Upper School. He is passionate about tech that redefines what is possible in the classroom. He is a husband and father of two tornadoes aged one and three, making him passionate about cleaning his house as well. He loves running fast and/or far, sitting down for long periods of time while playing board games and/or guitar, and is always looking for ways to hack and/or improve his homebrewing in the backyard.
Jeff Horwitz is Associate Head of School at Chesterfield Day School. He is a lifelong educator and 21st century thinker who is passionate about technology and giving students ample opportunities to learn through meaningful and authentic experiences like Project Based Learning.
Whitfield students and teachers are mindful, innovative, and process-oriented. As Director of Technology, Matt helps them explore, collaborate, and create on a daily basis. His most recent projects include diversity and inclusion initiatives, development of personalized learning projects, and sponsorship of the school's student-run social media management team.
Dr. Frank Giuseffi has served as the Academic Dean of Missouri Military Academy since 2004. He holds undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Political Science, a Master's degree in Liberal Arts from St. John's College and a Doctorate in Education from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. He was a recipient of the Lighthouse Consulting Doctor of Education in Administration Award for his dissertation work on the relationship between the Socratic method and leadership development.
