Miranda Wood is a postgraduate associate at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.

Brief Biography

Miranda Wood is a postgraduate associate at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and currently works under the direction of Christina Cipriano researching inclusive and equitable SEL for students with learning differences. Wood holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in Spanish from Baylor University.

During her time at Baylor University, Wood was an undergraduate research assistant for the Science of Virtues Lab. In that role, she developed a background in positive psychology, person-centered analysis and applied research. At Baylor, Wood also served as a mental health peer leader, a director of the International Dorm Student Council and as a SAFE Collegiate Academy Fellow. While spending a semester in Spain, Wood taught an English Language class for adults

Her research interests broadly focus on positive psychology and equitable, evidence-based treatment for adolescents. Wood is passionate about taking an intersectional approach to emotional intelligence.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, soccer, cooking and traveling.
