Tony Wan is head of platform at Reach Capital and is a co-founder and the former managing editor at EdSurge, where he oversaw newsroom operations and covered business and investment trends in the education technology industry. He was named one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30” in Education in 2014 and received an Education Writers Association Reporting Fellowship in 2020.
Prior to EdSurge, Wan co-founded a startup that developed a game best described as “Zelda with math.”
He has an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Stanford University and a B.A. in History from the University of California at San Diego.
