Pati Ruiz is a senior research scientist with the Learning Sciences Research team. Prior to joining Digital Promise, Pati spent 16 years as a high school computer science teacher, Spanish teacher and K-12 administrator. Pati’s research focuses on equity and accountability in artificial intelligence, the intended and unanticipated consequences of emerging technologies, inclusion and belonging in computing, the application of emerging technologies for teaching and learning, and educator professional learning. Pati holds a B.S. and M.A. from Santa Clara University and an Ed.D. from Pepperdine University.
