At EdSurge, Mary held the roles of Managing Editor of EdSurge Solutions Studio and Director of Sponsored Content. She commissioned and edited a range of contributor articles, oversaw the creation of many an EdSurge Guide, and worked closely with EdSurge partners to identify, shape and lift up their stories. Mary has worked in print and digital media in the U.S. and Asia, and as an editor, writer and business development executive for Time Inc., Knight Ridder and the Stanford Magazine. She is a cofounder of the San Francisco Friends School, former trustee of The Little School, past chair of the SPEAK consortium, and is an advocate for various youth- and education-focused nonprofits. She has a B.A. and M.A. in English from Stanford University.
