Brief Biography

As a fellow and lecturer at the, Guido Kovalskys applied design thinking to deeply understand the needs of teachers and students in the modern classroom. Nearpod is a result of hundreds of hours of classroom observation and countless prototypes.

A serial entrepreneur, Guido has founded four companies in the last 15 years. Those companies cover a broad range of industries, including education technology, health-care and adventure vacation.

Prior to Nearpod, Guido co-founded Bionexo, a leading healthcare marketplace where hospitals and other health-care institutions purchase services and supplies. The company, which is now backed by private equity firm Insight Venture Partners, started in Brazil, also operates in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Spain.

Guido received his undergraduate degree from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and his MBA from the University of California (Berkeley). He went on to work for McKinsey & Company in San Francisco before launching his entrepreneurial career. Guido and his wife Priscila live in Menlo Park with their two kids, Vini and Olivia.
