Deaunna "Dea Sudie" Watson is a freedom dreaming educator, certified healing-centered coach, and transformative thought leader who believes that freedom is not a destination by which we arrive through long-suffering, but an embodied practice that we access to return home to our humanity.
Developing and using her own coaching and curriculum framework, In Freedom Practice, Dea's passion for healing-centered engagement inspires her to show up in a variety of forms: memory worker, teacher, student, mentor, writer, researcher, archivist, essayist, coach.
An intercultural development specialist and anti-oppressive facilitator, Dea brings a healing-centered approach to helping individuals, teams, and organizations co-create practices, policies, and systems that honor liberatory values, mission, and identity.
When not leading organizations in culture strategy, Dea is writing bold stories of Black brilliance, designing renewal-focused sabbaticals that invite Black women to claim ownership of themselves, and reclaiming space and time to freedom dream healing-centered pathways for bold leaders, changemakers, and futurists.
