Chris Link oversees the development and implementation of educational products and services for the Global STEM Alliance at the New York Academy of Sciences.

Brief Biography

Chris Link oversees the development and implementation of educational products and services for the Global STEM Alliance, an initiative at the New York Academy of Sciences to advance science, technology, engineering and mathematics education worldwide.

Prior to joining the Academy, Link was the founding director of curriculum and instruction at a high school in Brooklyn, NY, and led the team of curriculum writers working on the development of the school’s STEM-focused liberal arts curriculum. He also worked closely with the teachers to provide instructional training to help engage students through relevant STEM learning experiences.

Prior to his time in Brooklyn, Link served as the science and technology staff development specialist for the Redwood City School District in California. He developed and facilitated a three-year plan for the district’s K- 8 curriculum to align with the Next Generation Science Standards. Link also brings eight years of experience teaching in middle and high school classrooms.

Link is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis for teaching and learning practices with an emphasis in curriculum. He received his master of science in biology, and an advanced certificate in science education, both from Washington University in St. Louis. He is originally from Carlinville, IL.
