Aug 28, 2020

Juni Learning, a San Francisco-based provider of live online classes for students ages 8 to 18, has raised $10.5 million in a Series A round led by Forerunner Ventures. Other investors include AME Cloud Ventures, Index Ventures and Pear VC.

Founded in 2017, Juni Learning initially focused on connecting children with computer science instructors for private and small-group online coding classes. It has since expanded its platform to cover math and English subjects. According to its website, prices range from $179 per month for a group class (up to 4 students), to $450 for 8 private classes per month.

In an April interview, Juni Learning co-founder and CEO Vivian Shen said the team was serving several thousands of students at the time. According to its Series A fundraise announcement, the company has delivered over 50,000 classes in the past three months.

Juni Learning was a graduate of Y Combinator’s Winter 2018 cohort.
