PeopleGrove Secures $4.7 Million Series A to Support Student-Alumni Relationships

PEOPLE GROOVIN’: PeopleGrove, a San Francisco-based developer of software for higher-ed institutions to connect students with advisors, alumni and career opportunities, has raised $4.7 million in a Series A round. Leading the deal is Reach Capital, joined by Bisk Ventures, Collaborative Fund, GSV Acceleration, Launch Capital, Riverpark Ventures and University Ventures.

Founded in 2015, PeopleGrove currently claims users in more than 180 higher-ed institutions, including Cornell, University of Michigan and Williams College. The company works with schools’ alumni and advisor networks to support recruiting, enrollment and academic advising efforts. One of its key features includes connecting alumni with students to advise on career prospects and professional opportunities.

The company has now raised a total of $7.2 million, following a $1.8 million seed round in 2017.
