SEEING RED: Red Ventures, a digital marketing company based in Charlotte, N.C., has acquired HigherEducation.com, which provides marketing and enrollment services to colleges and universities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2007, HigherEducation.com consists of several related marketing sites that work with more than 150 mostly-nonprofit institutions across the country, such as 2U, Arizona State University and Southern New Hampshire University, to boost enrollment and retention figures. The company was acquired from the Vistria Group, a Chicago-based private investment firm.
Red Ventures is growing a portfolio of related digital marketing assets, including Bankrate, AllConnect.com and Reviews.com.
