EdCast Acquires Online Learning Marketplace Leapest

Feb 15, 2019

LEAP OF FAITH: EdCast, an AI-powered information-sharing platform used by businesses and government organizations, has acquired Leapest, a Netherlands-based online learning marketplace that offers courses, certifications and other training for corporate clients.

EdCast, located in Mountain View, Calif., plans to tap into the experience and expertise of Leapest personnel to expand its own learning marketplace, called ContentExchange. The Leapest marketplace was launched two years ago and has grown to more than 1,600 business buyers from 100 different countries. Leapest’s “integrated cloud-based training delivery environment” is what sets it apart, according to a press release.

As part of the deal, Leapest’s founder and CEO, Sukhbir Jasuja, will be joining EdCast as an executive overseeing the blended learning marketplace. Jasuja will also be responsible for growing EdCast’s presence in Europe.
