Aussie Textbook Rental Startup Raises $600K

ZOOKAL: $600K to Sydney, Australia-based Zookal, led by Omer Regev (former CFO of Chegg, and current CFO of Gemini Israel Venture Funds) and Filtro Investments. Founded in 2011, the startup has raised over $2.1 million (which began with a question on Quora) over 100,000 users for its textbook rental service. Zookal is set on expanding its service to southeast Asia--particularly Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. And according to BRW, it's looking to raise a Series B in the $8 million to $10 million ballpark.
