Products built for Adobe's Flash platform, usually delivered via web browser.
Adobe's Flash program (originally developed by Macromedia) is a tool that developers have frequently used to create graphically rich programs. Flash does not run natively on Apple's iOS software platform. That means that Flash-rich programs will not (as of late 2011) work well on Apple's iPad or iPhone devices. There are work-arounds (namely a program called iSwifter). Eventually industry is expected to move away from using Flash--but for now, Flash-heavy programs typically run best on laptop or desktop computers (either Macs or PCs).
