ZeeMee allows students to supplement their college admission materials with a collection of images, videos and documents that showcase their achievements beyonds grades and essays. ZeeMee is free to use.
APPROACH
The ZeeMee page for student consists of three sections: the Meet Me video, My Story and My Activities. After signing up and logging on to ZeeMee, students are provided with a template to upload their photos, stories and videos in those three sections. They can also make a “shoutout” to their friends with profiles on ZeeMee to highlight 1-2 personalities of their friend (which will also be visible to college admissions).
For university counselors, the ZeeMee Counselor page allows them to showcase information about their university to high school students. To encourage students to apply for college with their ZeeMee profile, counselors can add ZeeMee on the university’s admission checklist as an optional field. Then they can add a text input box for the student to input their ZeeMee link in the university’s application system (e.g. Common App, Apply Texas, etc.). More details can be found here.
