Yooply is a web-based behavior management system that incorporates input from all stakeholders, including students, in order to keep track of both incidents and behavior goals. The product recently launched in August of 2015 and has been tested by around 500 students and teachers in at least three schools. Teachers, schools and districts can purchase Yooply for an annual license of $2 per student.
APPROACH
Teachers and school leaders can assign customized incident reports for individual students or groups. They can also assign behavior goals to students and integrate their own rewards/incentives system. School leaders can track all incidents related to a student, including detentions and suspensions, alongside a student’s behavior goals and trends. They can customize their school’s particular dashboard and the structure of their reports in order to reflect the metrics, language and discipline style of that school. They can also send out notifications to parents, teachers and students through SMS, email and web-app notifications in order to update stakeholders of particular incidents regarding a student.
Students are able to send other students positive messages, earning them points within the system that they can use on rewards. Students are able to attach their own reflection on a particular incident to its associated report for admins to use as another data point when evaluating an incident. Finally, students are able to track their assigned behavior goals and evaluate their behavior trends, so they are completely aware of their current standing.
IMPLEMENTATION
Teachers, parents, school leaders and district administrators can access and update all behavior data through any modern web-browser.
