SUMMARY:
TinkerCAD is a free web-based modeling software that enables students to create 3D printable models without needing any previous design experience. Students can import 2D images, and then use the tool to create 3D versions of them. They can also use the gallery of previously created images from other students as starting points if they want to modify them. Finally students can start from scratch using the different shaped building blocks and grouping tools to create complex models. TinkerCAD is compatible with all models of 3D printers and laser cutters, so students can immediately print or cut out their designs.
