TeachBoost gives school and district leaders customizable tools to manage classroom observations, instructional coaching, mentorship and performance evaluation. It also provides a free resource library and the ability to create private groups.
TeachBoost is a framework-agnostic system that can be implemented district-wide, school-wide, or across a cross-section of educators within a district or region. Administrators use it to schedule and track observation and coaching cycles, record and share evidence and feedback, and support teachers’ progress toward instructional goals.
Teachers use TeachBoost to create goals and action plans, seek and receive feedback, and gain access to a set of professional development resources through the TeachBoost Library. In the TeachBoost Library, all educators can add, tag, and browse resources, creating a personalized best-practice repository. Administrators can embed Library resources directly into teacher observations, action plans, and goal portfolios.
Educators can create collaborative groups (PLCs) where they can set group goals, conduct peer observations, and gather feedback from their extended support network beyond their direct evaluators. Groups can be formed by grade level or subject area, or an administrator can use the TeachBoost reports like the Teacher Competency Matrix to group teachers by strength, need, or common goal.
The product is priced per teacher, per year, with most schools paying between $2,000 and $4,000 annually. Volume discounts are available. As of mid-2015, more than 700 public schools used the tool.
