Sherpath by Elsevier is pre-made, course-complete adaptive courseware for nursing and health-science education. The courseware includes simulations, assessments and adaptive assignments. Aligned with National Council Licensure Examination standards, Sherpath includes remediation tools and quizzes based on its adaptive technology as well as analytics dashboards for students and instructors. Instructors can customize content with drag-and-drop functionality and use the courseware when teaching in blended or face-to-face formats.

Sherpath’s adaptive algorithms consider factors such as learner self-assessment, time to complete learning exercises, performance on questions, mastery of prior learning objectives and past performance of students with a similar learner profile. Instructors can customize Sherpath’s grading policies, allow students to skip content that the technology does not think the student has mastered, edit content modules, select lesson objectives and resequence learning modules.
