Share My Lesson is a browser-based repository that allows educators to share high-quality teaching resources with their peers from around the world, while simultaneously collaborating to form an online teaching community. Share My Lesson is a joint venture between the American Federation of Teachers and TES Connect, with the goal of allowing, “All teachers access to the very best resources.”
Signing up for Share My Lesson is free and takes less than five minutes; once registered, educators can immediately access and download any of the 300,000+ resources already uploaded to the site. Users can browse by grade level, subject, and topic to find resources, or can search for keywords (e.g. “cell” or “Constitution”) and filter to the appropriate specifications. Materials that meet Common Core State Standards are flagged for easy filtering. Educators can use the site to save favorite searches and keep track of favorite materials.
Resources are submitted both by fellow educators and by partner organizations; educators can follow their favorite contributors to receive notifications when they have posted new materials. Educators posting their own resources can classify them by grade level, subject, and topic, and can allow comments to be posted on their materials. The Community page features discussions on a variety of topics.
