APPROACH
PowerSchool operates seven products to meet school and classroom operational needs. All of the products are available online and store information in a cloud-based system. The products can be made available in multiple languages. PowerSchool offers implementation and product training for new users.
For administrative needs, PowerSchool can create reports for district or state compliance requirements, create school-wide analytics based on state standards, house individual student data, power enrollment, and facilitate parent communication. Administrators can also manage and communicate with faculty through the administrator dashboard.
Teachers can use PowerSchool to monitor and assess learning, either for individual students or their entire class. Classroom analytics are aligned to state standards. Classroom dashboards can be created by the teacher and accessed by their students. There, teachers can create and share polls or discussion forums, as well as create WikiProjects and manage students’ ePortfolios. They can also share student information, test results, and feedback with both parents and students. A library of teacher-created content is available to both use and share for teachers with access to the product. Learning services are differentiated for mainstream and special education needs.
Parents have access to the PowerSchool Parent portal which allows them to communicate with administrators and teachers, turn in documents to the school, and see their child’s school work, test results, and reports on academic growth.
