Matific consists of engaging elementary math activities and games that are linked to content from the most popular math textbooks. The product was designed to engage students through both practicing and learning math fundamentals.
Matific aligns its activities according to a teacher’s textbook, allowing them to maintain their teaching style while supplementing it with relevant and engaging activities. These activities are designed to reinforce topics, as well teach them through the aligned textbooks. As students complete activities, teachers can track student performance to see which of their students are on track and what topics in particular are proving difficult. Students can complete these tasks on mobile devices, laptops or computers in class or at home. Matific also works as a tool for parents to help get their kids engaged with math and keep track of how they are doing.
Matific is available through a browser, native iPhone and iPad apps, as well as native Android smartphone and tablet apps. There is a "school" and a "parent" version of the platform. The school version enables teachers to assign activities by specific study programs or curriculum topics and includes a teacher dashboard. The parent version provides bite-size math activities of increasing complexity. Both parents and teachers can sign up for their students and help guide them through the available activities. Some of the activities are publicly available, but as you progress along a given topic, the later activities require a login and password.
Matific is available for free for teachers and parents to download for their students. Matific also offers parents additional services for purchase.
WHO IS USING IT
