Content, tools & experiences for science & engineering students

Overview

Mastering hosts course content for a variety of different science and engineering courses. The tool uses a student’s responses to differentiate instruction for individual students. Mastering requires a license to use.

APPROACH

Teachers and students use Mastering before, during and after class, in order to enhance student’s understanding of the subject. Before class time, instructors assign reading and formative assessments. During class, instructors use simulations, videos and other media that the tool provides, in addition to a built in classroom response system. After class, students follow up on topics discussed with quizzes that adapt questions to a student’s responses. Teachers track student progress and achievement with a data dashboard.
