Koantum is a library of interactive, NGSS-aligned science lessons for grades K-5. It is available for purchase at classroom rates.
APPROACH
Teachers begin using Koantum by going online, creating an account, and logging in. They then enter in all pertinent student information to create a class. Students then chose a login, select a character avatar to represent themselves throughout the lesson, and select which lesson they wish to complete. Lessons are guided by animated characters, and are presented to students in a variety of formats such as interactive activities, video tutorials, virtual labs, and experiment simulations. After each lesson, students take a 10 question multiple choice assessment on content covered.
From their reporting dashboard, teachers view reporting graphics of individual student performance on lesson questions and assessments. Teachers also download, use, or distribute corresponding printable lesson plans and activities from their lessons dashboard.
PRICING
For homeschool programs, Koantum costs $99 per student, annually. For school classrooms, it costs $400 per classroom, annually. School-wide and district pricing inquiries can be made on the website.
