Knewton is a learning tool that assigns a different content path to each individual learner. The tool is free to use for both students and teachers.
APPROACH
Teachers log on to Knewton and use the tool to invite students to a new course. Teachers then select a lesson topic (e.g. “simplifying exponents”) and assign the topic to students. As students complete the work, teachers can track each student’s progress and mastery level of the topic. Because the tool personalizes to each students, teachers are not able to control what resources their pupils do or do not see; they can, however, see some example materials when they set the topic of the lesson.
Knewton shows each student a unique combination of resources for each lesson. The format and difficulty level are adjusted by Knewton in order to tailor to the student’s needs. Because students can access the program for free, they can also use Knewton on their own for test review or personal enrichment.
PRICING
Knewton is free for both teachers and students to use.
