GOALS
JogNog is a game-based quiz program, using games to assess students on their knowledge of various subjects. JogNog has quizzes available for students in 2nd through 12th grade. The product was created to bring educators high quality quizzes that could engage their students in a fun way.
APPROACH
Teachers log in to the product and can select pre-existing quizzes or create their own. Pre-existing quizzes cover topics from math, ELA, science and social studies. Teachers create quizzes by writing individual questions, entering correct and incorrect answers, and selecting the levels that each quiz belongs in.
Teachers then assign quizzes to individual classes of student and set a due date. As students answer questions and finish quizzes, teachers can track progress and grades in real time.
After students sign up for JogNog and join the correct class, they can see the quizzes assigned to them by their teacher. A leaderboard on the side of the home page reveals a student’s rewards and her class ranking. After completing quizzes, students earn “towers” (badges) and can send a notification to teachers and/or parents.
