The iResult Impact Management Solution is designed to provide schools with data and tools to improve student’s experience academically, personally, and socially. The system allows principals and administrators to set goals based on student data including grades, exam scores, and attendance records, and track whether or not those goals are being met each day. Goals can include improved attendance, higher grades, better test results, or other student-centered needs. iResult collects data from multiple points including school and community programs in which students may be involved. They designed a FERPA-compliant data sharing infrastructure that allows them to communicate a consolidated flow of student information to administrators and parents.
The Impact Management Solution also refers students to advocacy programs and advisers to help them stay on track for college. iResult aims to empower students and help them achieve their own personal goals with the support of their community. In addition to monitoring data and helping schools reach certain goals, the company invests 50% of its profits to fund scholarships and youth programs to which their students will have access.
iResult was founded in 2009 by social entrepreneur and founder of the Dare to Dream Fund, Dawn Verdick. It transitioned to a for-profit LLC in 2011. The company was created to address students’ needs across a variety of challenges including academic, personal, and social. iResult originally developed a software to assess the impact of policies across schools and communities. The software tracks academic progress, college readiness, and engagement for each student, and aligns those results with student data with community services that the student receives.
The iResult team currently has seven employees and is based in Monterey, California. Since the product was released in 2012, they have accumulated over 35 schools and 185 teacher users serving over 25,000 students as of October of 2013.
