Inspark Smart Courses Product Website

Inspark Smart Courses by Smart Sparrow are adaptive science courses offered through the Inspark Science Network, a group of higher-ed institutions and companies committed to redesigning science education. Smart Courses use exploration-based pedagogy, framing traditional curriculum elements in an “Are We Alone?” narrative with simulations, online exercises and video tutorials. Instructors can use the courseware when teaching in fully online, blended or face-to-face formats. The curriculum is modular, allowing for custom sequencing, and the courses are designed for non-science majors. Smart Sparrow also offers course-building tools in separate product offerings.

Smart Sparrow’s adaptive algorithms consider factors such as learner confidence and self-assessments, time to complete learning exercises, performance on questions, learning style preference and mastery of prior learning objectives. Instructors can add content from outside the courseware, override the grading scale and change rules that drive adaptivity.
