The VIF Learning Center offers teachers curriculum, professional development and a platform to collaborate with peers from around the world. Teachers can sign-up for free to access some materials, but must pay to access others.
Teachers log on to the VIF Learning Center to connect with other educators from around the world. Teachers can use the platform to collaborate on new lessons and activities, as well as classroom partnerships. Teachers can also use the Learning Center to complete professional development modules. Completion earns the teacher CEU credits, as well as badges, which are displayed along with other professional accomplishments on a digital portfolio. The Learning Center offers PD for dual language immersion and ESL/ELL teachers, as well as "traditional" PD.
The Learning Center also offers a set of lesson plans for teachers using its global, inquiry-based methodology. Teachers access the lesson plans online and can search by grade-level, subject or specific standard to find peer-created lessons and activities.
Teachers access the VIF Learning Center and PD through a web-browser.
Teachers can sign-up for free, but access to all materials must be purchased.
