Edulastic is an online assessment making tool for teachers. It allows teachers to make their own assessments and assignments in common standardized test formats or choose from an assessment library. Edulastic monitors student achievement on these assessments and reports progress back to teachers so they can track students’ understanding of Common Core curriculum. Edulastic is free for teachers but a district-wide version is also available for purchase.
APPROACH
Teachers use Edulastic by signing up on the website and creating a profile. From their profile, teachers custom-create assessments using their own curriculum content in common standardized test formats. Teachers have the option to create their own assignments and assessments or browse a library of assessments created by other teachers in their district. Assessments in this library can be selected based on grade level and content.
Teachers then assign assessments to students. Students practice taking tests, get familiarized with standardized test taking strategies, and complete these assessments within their student profile. Individual student responses to the assessments are recorded and sent back to teachers’ dashboard, where they can be viewed according to common-core topic or standard.
The District Enterprise Version allows teachers to use all of these features plus have access to additional district-wide data on standard achievement and formative classroom assessments. Teachers can also access SIS integration, and districts can manage controls and content.
PRICING
Edulastic is free for teachers. The Enterprise Version for Districts and Schools costs $2.50 per student, annually.
WHO’S USING IT
As of February 2015, over 25,000 teachers in over 4,000 schools are using Edulastic.
