GOALS
ClassOwl lets students and teachers organize all of their assignments in one place, track how long those assignments take and communicate about any issues or questions related to those assignments. The product is designed to help students better manage their time and stay on top of their work.
APPROACH
Teachers create assignments, adding helpful information like how long it is supposed to take and the deadline. When they finish, it is pushed out to all their students and added to their daily planner. If a teacher needs to make a change, their students will receive a push notification alerting them to the update.
If a student has a question on an assignment, they can comment on that task and their teacher can respond through the platform. Students can also use their planner as a checklist, keeping track of how much time their work is supposed to take and what they have left to do.
IMPLEMENTATION
ClassOwl is fully accessible through a browser, as well as through their iPhone and Android app. Students’ planners are synced between their phone and their browser, keeping them in the loop at all times.
To get started, teachers can create their class for free and invite their students to join their page. If a teacher has multiple classes, they can specify which class to assign each task. If an entire school has adopted ClassOwl, students will be able to access a single feed for all of the assignments across all of their courses.
